What we collect

The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, company, email address or phone number, and your message. Submitting the form is the only way this site collects information about you by name.

If you write to us about a job, the Careers option also lets you attach a resume. That file is sent to us with your message and is used only to consider you for work with us.

How it's used

Contact form submissions are delivered by email to the Bitterman Scales team you selected (sales, service, or careers) and are used solely to respond to your enquiry. If you provide an email address, you receive a confirmation copy. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside Bitterman Scales, and we do not add you to marketing lists.

Spam protection

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. Turnstile is operated by Cloudflare, Inc. and processes technical signals from your browser for that purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details on their processing.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one small flag in your browser's session storage to remember that you dismissed the contact prompt, so it doesn't reappear during your visit; it disappears when you close the tab.

The map in the contact section of our homepage is embedded from Google Maps. Loading it is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Retention

Enquiry emails are retained in our business mailboxes as ordinary correspondence. Ask us in writing and we will delete correspondence containing your personal information, unless we're required to keep it for a business or legal reason.
